Learn how to make a delicious classic french toast recipe that will impress the whole family! This is our go-to cinnamon french toast that everyone loves!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • salt (to taste)
  • 6 slices white bread (a few days old)
  • 2 tbsp butter (unsalted)
  • maple syrup (optional topping)
  • sliced strawberries (optional topping)
  • blueberries (optional topping)

Instructions 

  • Whisk together the ingredients in a shallow bowl and set aside.
  • Lightly grease a griddle with butter over medium-high heat. While the griddle heats up, dunk the bread in the egg mixture, soaking both sides.
  • Lightly grease a skillet with butter and fry the slices of the bread on the skillet over medium heat until golden-brown, about 3 minutes per side.
  • Serve hot with maple syrup, butter, or any toppings of your choice.
