Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 6 slices gluten free white bread (a few days old)
  • 2 tbsp butter (for frying)
  • maple syrup (optional topping)
  • sliced strawberries (optional topping)
  • blueberries (optional topping)

Instructions 

  • Add all ingredients except the bread together in a shallow bowl and whisk until well combined.
  • Submerge each slice of bread into the mixture and allow it to fully absorb the mixture.
  • Lightly grease a skillet with butter and fry each slice of bread over medium heat until crispy and golden brown, about 4 to 5 minutes per side.
  • Serve warm with toppings of choice.
